No sound is coming out of my Bluetooth headset even though it is paired successfully.

Is there a driver or update that can be installed to get them working?

Bose told me the reason there is no sound coming out of my wireless headset is because the bluetooth driver is outdated.

Question, How to I update Dell bluetooth driver?

MaxxAudio 4 Sound ***/Equalizer missing after Win 10 upgrade

I upgraded my Inspiron 3847 to Win 10. I usually use headphones to listen to music, but I also have a pair of *** Dell speakers. I noticed the sound got drastically worse after upgrading to Win 10 but never really investigated. I now have discovered that the MaxxAudio 4 equalizer is gone.

I've been researching this problem but haven't found a reasonable solution. Everything I have found indicates I not only need to uninstall and then reinstall the Realtek High-Definition Audio Driver, but also the Realtek card reader - which makes absolutely no sense. I'm afraid to mess around with the driver for the card reader and screw up my USB/SD card ports.

I have downloaded Dell System Detect software and had it scan my system for driver updates. It updated my chipset drivers but did nothing about my audio driver or the card reader.

Any help/advice for my specific system would be gratefully appreciated.

Soundbar for a E2011Hc Monitor?

Hi,

I need to purchase a soundbar for a Dell E2011Hc Monitor.

The question is, does this monitor accept a soundbar, and if so, which one?

On the back of the monitor, I think I see the supports for the soundbar (one on either side):

But when I look at the tech specs for the Dell soundbars, I don't see the E2011Hc monitor listed.

I see that all E series monitors manufactured after 2013 are supported. But this monitor was manufactured in June 2012.

So I'm confused - can I attach a Dell soundbar, and if so, which one?

Thanks.

I'm having one *** of a time getting this new sound card to operate.  Creative tells me that the Sound Blaster ZXR will work in my tower.  Dell tells me it will not.  Does anybody know who is correct?  Any help is appreciated.  If not, any sound card recommendations? Thanks.

Dell Precision T3500 Internal Speaker

Hello,

I just installed an internal speaker in my Dell Precision T3500.  How do I configure a Windows 10 system to use that speaker?  The T3500 product documentation references the internal speaker but I haven't found any documentation on how to get it to work.  I assume it's a cheap business speaker, so I know the quality won't be great.  I'm just hoping for some basic sound out of it.

Thanks in advance,

Rob

My Built In Speakers Won't Work?!

I purchased the Dell Precision T3500 from DellAuction.com. A few months later my built in speakers won't. It says my speakers aren't plugged in, but why would it need to connect if they are built in speakers not external speakers. This has been going now for 5 months or so. I've been using my headphones for sound (because that is the only way I can get sound).  Thanks I hope I can get help soon.

Optiplex 7020 SFF, Windows 7, Realtek audio issue

I am experiencing the same issue as posted here. I have an Optiplex 7020 SFF running Windows 7. The sound is compressed. I have opened Dell Audio to find the equalizer controls and the Realtek Maxx audio controls are missing as in that other thread. However I do have speaker setup and default format controls.

The information in that thread is for Windows 8 & 10 and uses names and routes through my PC that I don't recognize. I get the idea that I need to stop the PC making changes, then remove and reinstall the Realtek drivers, but how?

XPS 8900 and Asus Xonar Essence STX 2

My motherboard has three card slots. The top and bottom are PCIE x16 and the middle is PCIE x 1 as from the Service Manual.  My graphic card (GTX 750 TI) is in the top slot x 16, but also covers the middle slot x 1. This just leaves me the bottom slot x 16 free for expansion.

I would like to fit a Asus Xonar Essence STX 2 sound card which is a PCIE x 1.  Can I fit this to the free bottom slot x 16 and will it cause me any problems?

Thanks

New XPS (8900) -- no stereo audio for stereo speakers

I have no audio, but when I go to (right-click sound icon in tray) --> Playback Devices --> Playback tab --> right click "Speakers / Headphones Realtek High Definition Audio" --> Configure, then in Speaker Setup dialog:

* If I select Quadraphonic in the "Audio channels" list, I hear sound for the RL (rear-left) and RR (rear-right) speakers, with my stereo speakers plugged into the black jack in back. I cannot get sound when testing the regular L and R speakers in Quadraphonic mode; I've tried all 5 jacks.

* When I select Stereo, then clicking L or R speaker icon to test results in no sound, again no matter which of the 5 jacks i plug my stereo speakers into.

* So the only way I have sound is in Quadraphonic mode, but only for the back speakers. Therefore I cannot hear regular stereo output from applications, such as Youtube in Chrome.

This seems like a bug, or a highly unintuitive aspect of Realtek's or Dell's software at best. Any ideas on how to solve? (Beside buying full surround sound speakers)

I am using Sonar Platinum on a Windows 8.1 PC with a SoundBlaster Z soundcard.  I can find no way of mixing any of my synth outputs to audio.  Does anyone know how this can be done using this combination.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  <ADMIN NOTE: Email id removed per privacy policy>

XPS 8700, Asus Xonar DGX sound card, no boot

Hi, I have an XPS 8700 desktop, and I recently purchased an Asus Xonar DGX sound card. After installing it, I turned on the computer, but it wouldn't go past the "Starting Windows" screen. When I took out the card, it turned on normally. How do I solve this problem?

The sound card plugs into a PCI express slot, which my motherboard has, and everything seems to fit properly, but the problem persists.

I have tried disabling the onboard audio from the BIOS, like I read on a forum topic, but still no luck.

Any help is appreciated

I just got an XPS 8900 and I connected it to my Sony Bravia TV using HDMI. My TV is connected to a sound bar and was hoping to get audio from my desktop through the sound bar. For some reason audio is not working through the desktop and TV. Is there anything I must do in settings to change this?

Dell Vostro 460 headphone unplug not switching to speakers

$

I have a 5 year old Dell Vostro desktop. A couple of days ago a new problem developed. When I plug headphones in to the front jack, they are immediately detected and audio output is directed to them. However, when they are removed from the jack, the audio does not immediately transfer back to the speakers. In fact this does eventually happen, but it can be a few hours until it does! Plugging in and out again can sometimes fix this, but not at all reliably. If the audio is not being sent to the speakers when I shut down, it is still out when I restart.

I am running Windows 10 and hence get the popup messages about headphones being plugged in and removed. These follow the same delayed response described above.

Is this likely to be a hardware or a software problem? Until this week there was no sign of this issue. Someone on another forum suggested switching manually using the Windows Sound properties. However, the Vostro seems to be using "RealTek HD Audio manger" which does not appear to have any manual switching option.

on going sound problem, have tried just about everything -- I will bet someone out here knows the solution

I tend to believe it is nothing serious since trouble began when I unplugged the dell inspiron desktop to move it to another desk in the SAME ROOM.  So I plug everything in and no sound.  Ok, simple, I have something plugged in wrong.  I have tried every possible usb port and speaker pin to every opening as well.  No luck.  Got some ms phone techs on it who connected to my pc and they could not find anything.

tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers.  Even bought some dell speakers.  NOTHING.

There is a clue:  whenever I shut the system down, I hear a crackle noise from the speaker - both old and new.  Same when I turn it on.  So, some sound is alive.

Called an expensive pc support dude who told me it could be the MOTHERBOARD.  I don't think so.

Can anyone give me their thoughts?  thanks.  Mary, still a big fan of DELL
