I read that the Dell sound card is incompatible with Win 10. I purchased an inexpensive USB sound adapter to plug the speaker cable into. It did not work. Will a full external sound card provide a solution? I have tried myriad recommendations to fix the "AMD High Definition audio device not plugged in" to no avail. The sound card incompatibility seemed very reasonable. They system initially worked with the Win 10 update and only failed in October 2016.
